TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT
Hello Below are listed just some of the courses which may be available within the Sure Start Children's Centres : Most of our training is FREE and there is often FREE CRECHE places available whilst you are training, although they must be booked well in advance. To find out what courses are currently available in your nearest Children's Centre, contact the Centre direct and ask for the Community Development Worker, who will be happy to help. (Telephone numbers can be found in the 'About the Teams' section). ** SURE START RECEIVE AN AWARD FOR TRAINING ** We recently provided various childcare training courses, which resulted in students receiving recognised qualifications in the childcare field. Our success in this area was recognised in 2005 when Sure Start, in partnership with Training in Childcare Ltd (www.traininginchildcare.co.uk) , received a National Training Award from the Department for Education and Skills. Sure Start Vacancies CONGRATULATIONS To everyone who successfully completed the Speakeasy course held at Primrose Village Children's Centre recently. The course is designed to help parents talk to their children about secual health issues.
