Sure Start is part of the Government’s initiative to provide the best start in life for pre-school children and their families. By linking into existing services and working alongside parents and carers, Sure Start aims to create an emotionally secure and protective environment in which children can grow and develop during the first four years of their life

Sure Start aims to achieve better outcomes for children, parents and communities by:

• Increasing the availability of affordable, good quality childcare for all children (see nursery information below)
• Improving health, education and emotional development for young children
• Supporting parents as parents and in their aspirations towards employment in bringing together :
            *     early education
            *     childcare
            *     health and family support

Sure Start is a cornerstone in the Government’s commitment to halve child poverty by 2010.

We offer quality assured, inclusive and affordable daycare for children aged between 6 weeks to 5 years of age, 50 weeks a year (at least 8 am to 6 pm).
